We practised just 6 poses in 70 minutes — it made me really nervous initially. While my personal practice has been slow and meditative, my teachings have always been lighthearted, cheerful, flowy. In this beginner's class though, I went slow-mo. (Speaking too, cos Singaporeans just talk too fast 😂) As I bring my personal practice to the open and present it to my students, I'm extensively deepening my observation of different bodies, exploring using more props, polishing my verbal cues, studying alternative movements for those with physical complications. The pace disoriented me at first, but I needed this. Here, I resume my study of yoga. It feels real good.
