Here's another of my favorite blue hour shots, this time not from the North Cascades, but of the southern slopes of Mount Hood, the tallest mountain in Oregon. I snowshoed into the frozen surface of Trillium Lake to watch the sunset, and then headed towards the shore of the lake as the sky turned a deep purple. The following night was one the coldest I've ever experienced - I was planning on camping, but found a hotel room in Government Camp with my tail between my legs.
