how does one enter a space like this and leave unchanged? whether you spend years, months, a few days, or simply a few hours in this sacred place, you are left with a lingering taste of inspiration and love for the earth and souls around you. it drips from your lips like thick honey, or the syrup from a popsicle on a hot summer day. yet, I've found that the beauty this place provides also hurts. the amount of growth I've experienced here is like the growing pains in your knees when you're 12 years old and shedding the skin of childhood like a snake. the internal revelations of your own nature and being and the eye-opening epiphany of the outside world seem to clash. but do they really clash? maybe it's a simple matter of perspective, as the whole universe is existing inside of you, but the communication and acceptance of our external world just isn't quite there? my only hope is that I can transfer this growth in my brain with me to the world outside this fishbowl when I leave. my appreciation for this place/the people here/the lessons taught is so heart-shatteringly immense. hopefully my fellow Yosemites can relate. my heart is with you all.
The joy of being together is the best kind. | For those who may have missed it, we're now offering personalized one-on-one mentorships (think "private workshop"), some even including a live shoot. For more info, see the link in bio.
Not a bad drive up tourist shot 🙂 Actually I just finished a long hike around the valley for sunrise I was beat. The rainbow in the falls was beautiful and lasted for almost an hour. I sat in the van, swiveled my chair, ate Lara bars, and just watched. #yosemite#vanlife
"20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain just gets us. 😍 If what you’re doing feels safe and cozy, you’re missin’ out, and odds are - you’re selling yourself short. Get outside this weekend and drink in what our world has to offer. This weekend we’re headed to Yosemite for more views like THIS! (casual, right?) Because nothing inspires and fuels us more than the vastness of our tried and true national parks ⛰✨
