Today's gratitude statement: had the chance to take a handful of road trips this winter, now that spring is here I am looking forward to all the road trips this summer will bring. I am also grateful to have a place to come home to, a beautiful daughter that will be turning six this year (they grow up so fast), a wonderful human to spend my days with, and a couple of kitties to love on. Stoked right now. Enjoy your day, my friends. I hope you all find a reason to smile. indian | alaska | february 2017 #35mm#kodakektar100#50iso#nikonf3#exploring#alaska#filmphotographic
For my dads 60th birthday I took him up to the summit of the #grandteton. After a couple of days in the Meadow relaxing. We set of for the Lower Saddle. The next morning at 4:15 am we began our climb on the route that Owens and Spaulding established during the firstascent in 1898. The weather was windy cold and and really socked in. None of the guided parties decided to go. And very few others. It was perfect. We were the only ones up there. I was pretty familiar with the route so I knew we would not get lost. As we approached the summit the clouds began drop. We walked over the top and suddenly in a matter of seconds were above it all. Clear sky, clouds nestled in between all of the peaks. A perfect summit. Thanks dad. It was a great day.
