Swimming lessons classmates! I decided to invest in learning a life skill this month. Thanks coach Tin, @anjsiladan and Tanlines Initiative, hindi na ako takot sa tubig na malalim. #life#adulting#swimming
I’ll admit, I’m more naturally inclined to tantrum, or snap in irritation, but I have noticed myself changing over the years. Finding the humor, or at least, the incredulity of a situation, rather than allowing myself to get lost in the anger, or stress, or frustration. Today, on day 4 of I’m not calling a plumber, my husband had to take apart our toilet to get to the bottom of this toddler flushing crisis, only to find that LEGO man had not been alone, two, yes TWO toothbrushes were shoved down their as well 🤦🏻♀️. And guys, toddlers are SO hard, and so frustrating, and we wasted hours of our life trying to figure out what he did, and how to fix it, but when it came down to it I found myself betting with my (super pissed) husband about what we would find, because sometimes, to save your sanity, you have GOT to look for the humor, and laugh at the shit parenthood (and life) throws at you. So, my super wise advice today is to look for the humor in a tough season, or situation, and take the opportunities to laugh when maybe what you really want to do is rage or cry, or curl up in a ball and give up on adulting. It’s a lot more fun. • • • • • #laughter#adulting#toddlers#parentinghacks#parenting#momlife#babyboy#mindset#mindsetiseverything#changeyourmindset#kidsaretheworst#lovemylife#momminainteasy#momneedsabreak#healing#mentalhealth#laugh#goodadvice
