Dias de Lua no Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga: Tradicionalmente no primeiro dia de Lua nova ( hoje no caso) e lua cheia não se pratica. Por que? A influência da lua nas mares , nas águas é facilmente vista. Nosso corpo é composto por mais ou menos 70% de água; acredita se que assim como a lua influencia as marés, ela pode influenciar nosso corpo. Como? Quando a lua está cheia ela tem uma força expansiva, o que em nosso corpo reflete como uma energia muito ativa, nos puxando para mais e mais. E em uma prática como o ashtanga isso pode levar à alguma lesão. Na lua nova ficamos mais introspectivos, essa energia é mais letargica, no nosso corpo podemos sentir mais dificuldade em realizar as posturas, e por esse motivo podem também nos levar à lesão. Há quem diga que não sente nenhuma diferença. Aqui sugerimos cuidado e atenção. Little raw clip of today’s practice. Sweaty #bhujapidasana  About two years ago I saw a clip which you can watch yourself on YouTube of BKS Iyengar teaching a flow to a room full of western students. What captivated me was Mr. Iyengar jumping from down dog directly into this pose without his feet touching the ground. I went home and tried it and damn near broke my arm 😳 I was amazed that at 50,60, and 70 years old he could preform  gymnastic looking asanas like this one. Well fast forward six months, I found the Ashtanga Yoga 🧘🏼‍♂️ System  And was very pleased to see that this is one was part of primary series.  Now it’s been a year and a half I’ve been doing. Ashtanga. Still can’t totally jump into it smoothly from down dog but I’m getting there, slowly, slowly.
