Finding old barns is a lot like stumbling upon buried treasure. The older the barn, the more character it often has, like the worn face and hands of an aging person. Character is beauty. And beauty is truth
@kolbycrider and are staying on a small family farm/bed and breakfast in a town just south of Tuscany. This morning, the sweet family who owns this farm served us fresh fruit grown from their trees, while we watched the young children play with all three of their dogs. After breakfast we laid by the pool for a few hours, reading, swimming, tanning until we decided it was time to head up the mountain for gelato. Afterwards, we napped and went back outside to watch the sunset. The older man who lives here invited us to join his family for dinner. It was by far the most memorable experience we've had in Italy. The people here are so kind and welcoming. It's definitely something I want to bring back home with me.
