Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Have a great Sunday ahead. #votd#bibleapp#godslove#godsmessage#godspeak#godsword#wordoftheday#jesus
As I shut off my phone for my weekly tech sabbatical (computer & phone off all day Sunday) I'm preparing to fix my mind on He who matters most. This practice of making space each week shows me just how distracted I become; how much noise I allow into my heart & life. . May your Sunday be filled with His presence & peace. Make space to hear Him. Make time to see Him. You never regret it when you do.
«You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.»
Consistency is key... Celebrating 100 consecutive days in His word! Open up your bible and follow basic instructions. Easier said than done as we will all fall short but each and everyday is a new day to strive to be better than you were the day before. "In the beginning was the word the word was God and the Word became flesh" 🗣in my Bryann Trejo voice “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. The full verse reads: "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." Paul is doing two things in this chapter: reminding the people of Galatia that they are no longer tied to the Law, and that they are no longer tied to sin. He does both by telling them they are called to freedom. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for our failings. He fulfilled the ultimate requirement for atonement, thereby removing our own obligation to offer sacrifices. We are now not forced to follow rituals and rules that measure our goodness or holiness, because Jesus already covered us. When He raised Himself from the grave, He also defeated death. He made a way for us to enter heaven by removing future condemnation, and providing a model for us to pattern ourselves after. In the same way we are free from retribution, we are also free to "go and sin no more." As children of God we are called to freedom. We are called to live boldly and proudly in our forgiveness and acceptance and righteousness. With Jesus as our guideline, we can walk in faith of our salvation and resolution to love God, love ourselves and love one another as Christ loves us. #bibleapp#verseoftheday#youngadults#free#freedom#childofgod#salvation#forgiven#faith#righteousness#sinless#liverighteously#love#example#loved#accepted#covered#fulfilled#called#encourage#disciple#jesus#christ#savior#deliverer#blessed#redeemed#law#model#iamthexponent
