Last few of the series. I heard a speaker yesterday say “Thank God I lost everything”. Didn’t entirely make sense but then he went on to further explain how, in Australia we are way too comfortable. We are incredibly blessed with a huge amount of freedom and flexibility to basically study what we want, work where we want, earn a western income and even with average situations have it 10x better than most other countries. While this is a blessing I also thing it’s a huge curse, we have a certain amount of freedom handed to us on a silver platter, which makes us complacent with having an easy lifestyle, even one that may be restricted for time, money and resources feels OK. I find that people in worse situations a lot of the time make something much more of themselves because they know what it’s like to have no freedom whatsoever, as a result they end up with a TRULY free life, with impact and purpose. Reflecting on yesterday’s post, let’s value what we have whilst understanding complacency is the killer of success and freedom, then working towards all that we can achieve, in spite of the comfortable lifestyle we have inevitably in Australia.
Face it before it becomes HATE! It is no doubt that there will be things you will resent in your relationship. To think you will be on cloud 9 all the time is fools hardy. Now if a thing bothers you but you ignore them it grows to resentment, it is like a stick in your skin, it hurts bad. But when you ignore the pain it turns into something more devil! When it gets to that point, even heaven will go on its heels in hard labor on your behalf to renew your heart. Face it, the issues that keep making you boil. Face it before you get cooked and become thick skinned. 🙏🏽
INCREDIBLE wellness weekend with our peeps - thank you for making space to visit beautiful Gerringong and reconnect - we have time to inspire each other, we share what matters to us, we laugh, do girly stuff, we nourish ourselves from the inside out. I love you all dearly. #gratitude
