#repost @syattfitness (@get_repost) ・・・ I have NOTHING against low carb, no carb, or ketogenic diets. If it works for you and you like it, amazing. Or as Albus Dumbledore told me just after my Bar Mitzvah, mazel tov you handsome little mensch. (Crazy story, I’ll tell you another time). - That said, I do have an issue with people who demonize a single food or nutrient in saying it’s inherently bad for you, makes you fat, etc. There isn’t a single food that, in isolation, makes you fat. The only way to gain fat is by eating too many calories on a consistent basis. I’m sure plenty of death eaters will bless us with their presence in the comments and say “but insulin” this and “stupid calories” that. But if you really think carbs make you fat even in a calorie deficit...should we ignore the hundreds of thousands of real life success stories showcasing people losing fat and getting healthier while eating plenty of carbs? Or do those just not count because dark magic? - I also have an issue with people who feel like it’s ok to impose their eating preferences on others. It’s not. It’s obnoxious. And presumptuous. And it makes people feel uncomfortable and put their guard up. - So let’s leave it at this. You want to eat carbs? Cool, eat up! You don’t want to eat carbs? Cool, I support you too! Truth is, I don’t care how or what you want to eat. Do whatever makes you feel best. Just do you and don’t impose it on anyone else. - Please. - #carbs #carbohydrate #carbohydrates #pasta #pastalover #bread #breadpudding #rice #lasagna #flexibledieting #moderation #iifym #ifitfitsyourmacros #keto #ketogenicdiet #lowcarb #highcarb #highcarblowfat #postworkoutmeal #postworkout #preworkout #preworkoutmeal #diet #nutrition #alwaysoptimal #syattfitnessrepost
I do get a kick out of the logic of some folks with nutrition. I was getting a lot of smack talk for throwing down pop tarts before workouts, as if my body categorizes pop tart sugar differently than my counter parts ingesting dextrose powder pre workout. 🤷🏻‍♂️Nonetheless, I do believe all the added BS may be a bit unnecessary. So I made the swap to all natural pancakes(although these look nothing like pancakes 🥞 🤣) that I make at home. Whole wheat flour, 1 whole egg, water and today I threw in blueberries. And what do you know, same response from many folks. “PANCAKES?!?!?!” 🤦🏻‍♂️ # I realize that they have all just been brainwashed by media to immediately lose their sh*t as soon as they see someone consuming carbohydrates that aren’t brown rice or quinoa. My breakfast is rolled oats/chia/honey, Ezekiel bread, rice at lunch and dinner. The only “simple carbs” I really eat are timed around high activity portions of my day. Moral of the post: if your goal is to build muscle, you need carbs and lot of them. If your goal is weight loss, you need carbs, just not during low activity times. If your goal is to accomplish anything fitness related, you need fcking carbs !
I ask to eat as much #organic as I can. I don’t always meet this criteria. I like to eat. I stay away from sweet carbs and alcohol tho. #love #collagenbabe #repost @syattfitness (@get_repost) ・・・ I have NOTHING against low carb, no carb, or ketogenic diets. Don't forget to order chef fried rice when you visit us. It's one of the recommended and popular dishes we offer.
This is a repost but for the record, I eat LOTS of carbs 🍞🥔🥖🌽🍠🍌🍉🍝! The countless number of clients I have worked with over the past decade ALL ate carbs and LOST WEIGHT👙.If someone is telling you you need to eliminate carbs to lose, smack them with a loaf of (whole wheat)bread 🥖! Women, in particular ,who don’t eat cabs are irritable 😡, tired 😴 and prone to bingeing. Women who do eat carbs are freakin happy😊💃 , full of energy and able to embrace an eating lifestyle they can easily stick to for life. CALORIES ARE KING.. weight loss is 💯 % due to creating a calorie deficit NOT restricting ANY macronutrient group. ( And yes, I do create low carb programs for clients with Insulin Resistance, diabetes and other endocrine disorders ) EAT BREAD AND BE HAPPY, GLADYS #repost @syattfitness , I have an issue with people who demonize a single food or nutrient in saying it’s inherently bad for you, makes you fat, etc. There isn’t a single food that, in isolation, makes you fat. Fat and carbohydrate for energy . The stored form of carbohydrates is glycogen. It is stored in the liver and muscle. The fat used during workout comes from fat stored all over the body from underneath the skin and transported to the muscle by the blood. . Carbohydrate and fat used together. High intensity and anaerobic exercise of fairly short duration will predominantly use carbohydrate, as fat can't be used in the absence of oxygen. . Aerobic exercise will use a different mixture of fat and carbohydrate. It depends on the intensity. . Basically the higher the intensity, the lower the fat consumption, even if the exercise remains aerobic. . This is very important for weight loss or fat loss program. . The fact is that no matter how intense or aerobic is the workout, the human body cannot efficiently burn fat alone. Fat can only be used efficiently alongside carbohydrate. . Fat is only used for energy in the absence of carbohydrates if someone is fasting or there is starvation or when on low carb diet. . During this process ketone bodies are produced. As ketone bodies accumulate above normal levels they create an acidic and unfavorable environment. This condition is known as ketosis. Prolonged ketosis can lead to ketoacidosis which results in an abnormally low blood pH. . So Fat or Carb? The ratio of fat to carbs is 50:50 but it improves with training. Fitter people will use more fat at any particular work rate than unfit people. . #workout #workingout #fitness #fitnessjourney #fitnessgirl #fitgirl #fitmen #training #weightlosstransformation #weightlossjourney #fatloss #fatburn #carbohydrate #nutrition #workoutmeal #instafollow #141
