Exodus 17: the Israelites grumbled against God again, this time regarding water. I was grumbling this morning because I wanted a snow day. I’m tired and cold, and I want to stay in bed. But I can’t. In the middle of writing out my morning prayer, I felt the peace of God overcoming me. I grumbled, yet He blessed me nevertheless. The Israelites grumbled, and He blessed them too. He is faithful, when I’m not. He takes care of us though we don’t deserve it and complain against Him. Glory to God!
I have witnessed the ashes of my past repeatedly be made into beautiful masterpieces. I serve a God that operates outside of time. What may feel like is taking forever in your eyes He can do it in an instant. Be still and respect your heart and your process. • Beautiful things are birthed from some of the most painful and broken places. Yahweh is a good, good father.❤️ 📜Isaiah 61:1-3
Through life difficult times, I’ve learned about #perspective and this helps me find value in what otherwise be a devastating experience. Without perspective small problems seem bigger. But with perspective, hard situations don’t overwhelm us and we can find thankfulness. Now when I’m faced with bad news, failure or disappointment, I pick up a perspective point and I can asses the situation accurately and look for thankfulness. Perspective points during my loss reminded me that God was greater than my circumstances then, and HE is still today. Most importantly perspective points helps me cultivate a thankful heart for what I do have. If we have breath... there is a reason to be thankful and hopeful. Psalm 71:20-21 “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.”
It's so easy to let our time in the Word become an afterthought...lost amidst the many tasks on our overflowing to-do lists.⠀ ⠀ Yet we can't name one thing...not even just one, that holds the same worth as time spent with Jesus. Consistent time spent with the Lord molds our hearts and souls in such a profound and mysterious way that His truth can't help but saturate every area of our lives.⠀ ⠀ It is a proclamation of honest and rightful dependence to sit at Jesus' feet FIRST and to acknowledge that you are there because you NEED Him and because everything else can wait. | Sandi⠀ ⠀ “Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done.” C.S. You have not been forgotten. You have not been forgotten because God does not forget his promises. Don’t believe the lie - believe the Truth that God has said about you in His word. God does not lie, and he has not forgotten you, Sister. 💕 🌸Psalm 98:3 - “He has remembered his love and faithfulness...” 🌸Isaiah 49:15 - “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I WILL NOT FORGET YOU.” #sheisreclaimed
