With the current U.S. presidential administration retreating from international climate finance, non-federal actors need to step in, at least for now, to help fill the vacuum. The credibility of the climate movement will hinge in part on whether it delivers on finance initiatives for climate-vulnerable developing countries. A recent discussion paper by the @americanprogress and World Resources Institute proposed creating a finance vehicle, which it referred to as America’s Climate Fund, that could accept contributions from a variety of U.S. sources—including via a crowd-funding campaign—and channel these contributions to support low-carbon development and climate-resilience in developing countries. #climatefinance#climateaction#climatemovement#actonclimate#parisagreement#oneplanet#oneplanetsummit#wearestillin

Instagram has been an amazing tool for sharing the brilliant sustainability initiatives from Ireland and abroad and also for discovering lots of likeminded people driven to make a positive change. Awareness of the need to live more sustainable lifestyles has been steadily growing over the last number of years but 2017 seems to have been a real tipping point. We have big plans for next year and can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!
