Reposting @unfccc:⠀ ...⠀ "In the U.S. a coalition of states, cities, businesses, investors, and colleges representing over USD 6.2 trillion and 120 million Americans have come together to declare their continued #climateaction to support the Paris Climate Change Agreement.⠀ .⠀ Together, these leaders have committed to work with the international community to limit the global rise in temperatures to well below 2 degrees Celsius and to accelerate the transition to a green economy.⠀ .⠀ “We remain steadfastly committed to the sustainability, carbon and energy goals that we have set as a company and to the Paris Agreement’s ultimate success. Our experience shows us that these investments and innovations are good for our planet, our company, our customers and the economy,” said Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer at Microsoft.⠀ .⠀ #parisagreement#wearestillin#climatechange#climate#un#unfccc"
We met with France's minister of Ecological Transition and Solidarity, Nicolas Hulot who is very committed in implementing the Paris Agreement, improving the energy consumption of French households and encouraging investments in renewable energy. With current challenges such as the US decision to withdraw from the accord, France is determined to further scale up its nationally determined contributions (NDC) to ensure that other nations are not discouraged. For the Philippines, we will continue to work towards resilience and review our energy policy and NDC. As the voice of vulnerable nations, we will continue to find ways of solving the climate crisis because for us, this is a matter of survival. #climatechange #climateaction#climateactionnow#ndc#vulnerable#resilience#phlfrance
Today just food for thought 😊 . This is not fair 👎 Almost 800 million people worldwide do not get enough to eat. Up to one third -approximately 1.3 billion tonnes- of all worldwide made food gets lost or wasted before it is consumed by people Wasting food is not only an ethical and economic issue but it also depletes the environment of limited natural resources. Food production, processing, marketing, consumption and disposal have important environmental externalities because of energy and natural resources usage and associated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Planning, prepping, and storing food can help your household waste less food. Some very simple things to prevent Food Waste at Home: 👉Buy only what you need an buy it loose 👉Eat what you buy 👉Keep food fresh 👉Avoid the trash . . .#saveourplanet #feedthehungry#makeadifferent#naturelovers#nature#climatechange#enviromentalism#foodwaste#ecosystem#climateaction#waste#zerowaste#feedtheworld

✎Why It Feels Like Nothing’s Happening [🗣] 🗓29-6-17 Recorded another podcast today and had the most cracking studio view known to mankind. Cliff top perch, incredible sunset and migrating whales, can't ask for much more than that!!! . This podcast I explored why it can sometimes feel like environmental progress is moving very slowly, and even sometimes like it's going nowhere. I've got a few theories why, and a few ways we can overlook the cynicism that prevails in environmental discourse. Listen in on the blog - enjoy! 🌏💚 #everydaygreen#everydaygreenie
