In an effort to give back to those affected by California's Wildfires, we are contributing a portion of our Napa and Sonoma wine sales to The Napa Sonoma Relief Fund. The #napasonomarelieffund, with partners @TippingPoint, will use our donation to provide immediate assistance and financial support to the people, families, and neighborhoods most affected by the devastating wild fires. Join us to #drinknapasonoma through year's end, and raise a glass in support. For more information, please visit napasonomarelief.org.
On December 2nd~ @chefthomaskeller #repost ・・・ Please join us as we come together to help heal and restore the most wounded neighborhoods affected by the devastating wine country fires. On December 2nd we invite you to a night of friendship & neighbors; a special evening where we will celebrate the Napa & Sonoma valleys @theculinaryinstituteofamerica at Greystone. The canapé reception will be prepared by a group of dedicated and talented locals chefs and I’ll join Christopher Kostow, Kyle Connaughton and Stephen Durfee for the dinner portion. This memorable meal will be complemented by the finest wines from the valleys. Every dollar we raise counts for the future of our region and will go directly to the Napa & Sonoma Fund managed by Tipping Point. Please join us for this memorable evening. #drinknapasonoma #napasonomarelief (Link in bio)

➡️ . Tusk Estates 2013 . Tusk isn't just based on opulent winemaking but also on luxury branding. Martin said that Tusk isn't trying to compete with other high-end Cabernets, but rather other luxury brands, like Hermès and Tiffany. The packaging reflects the attention to detail, with hand-wrapped linen boxes, heavy, etched bottles and letter-pressed labels. The name is both a nod to ivory, one of the original luxury commodities, and to elephants' close social groups. . The partners own 65 acres in Oakville and have just started planting a few acres to vines. For now, the grapes, 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, come from vineyards around Napa Valley, primarily from Oakville and Pritchard Hill. . After being picked, clusters are sorted twice and the grapes are removed from non-grape materials. "It's beautiful—it looks like a bowl of caviar when it's ready," Martin said of the grapes. Even with that much care, not all of the wine ends up in the final blend. In 2008, the first vintage, Tusk's owners had enough wine for 1,300 cases, but only bottled 150 cases under its name. In 2009, they whittled down 1,700 cases to 125. . Melka, a top wine consultant, is both part-owner and the winemaker for Tusk. At Lail Vineyards, Melka worked with Martin, who now has his own branding and marketing company, Gauge Branding. The third owner, Uytengsu, is a former investment banker whose family's G.F. Industries food business included Sunshine Biscuits, the makers of Cheez-It crackers, which was sold to Keebler. These days, Uytengsu exports high-end wines to his native Philippines and has created a new sunflower-seed cracker called Somersault. . From @Wine_Spectator

#repost @carlomondavi (@get_repost) ・・・ NAPA & SONOMA RELIEF | As California's deadliest and worst fire to date our community has been left with far too many dead, far too many missing, 3,700 homes destroyed along with hundreds of thousands of acres. As a heartbroken group of Sonoma and Napa locals, we have bonded together with Tipping Point to establish the Napa Sonoma Relief Fund that supports low-income, vulnerable communities impacted by the crisis, including vineyard workers, immigrants, displaced young people, and students that have been affected. We are working with organizations on the front lines, including service providers and community foundations, to ensure that dollars are used in a rapid and effective way. 100% of what you donate will go to where it is needed most (please go to the link in my bio to donate). This firestorm was not divided by county lines and as such our commitment is to treat this as a unified area of Sonoma (Santa Rosa), Napa and Mendocino. Together we can.  Please go to the link in my BIO and DONATE to help these thousands of families. Also please feel free to share this with as many people as possible to rally support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 #togetherwecan #napasonomarelief #drinknapasonoma
