an annotated page of "Red Sorghum" 📖 I'm trying to think of ideas of what to post other than my bullet journal, as the nature of my course means 99% of my studying is just reading or messy/typed notes and until my exam in the summer i have no need for pretty revision notes 🤔
We all judge people. The very first moment we meet some new person, we check their apearance and watch the behaviour. Psychologists say that first impressions matter, so we all try our best to show own good qualities, or we just think that we do? Sometimes people have whole conversations in their minds. Conversations with people they know, people whom they would probably never meet anymore, conversations with themselves, like, what they had to answer for that stupid question and which arguments add. There is a storm of thoughts and words in their minds, but their bodies looks calm. Closed. Unconfident. Shy. Unfriendly. Fake? These are the impressions for the calm body. Even if the body wears a nice dress and has a smile on the face, you start to think, isn't it a protective reaction? The body tries to overcome those symptoms, it really does. Oh, you did not see the small dancing monkey inside that body, which appears after each conversation with a group of people. If there were prizes for small talks, the body would definitely get one. And you did not see how that monkey becomes upset, when the body fails to greet the well-known friend. Body always chooses the easiest way, but the mind has whole complication. You met a new person? Closed. Unconfident. Shy. Unfriendly. Fake? Do not judge. Just take a closer look.
