My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. This set of verses could not be more true in my life. However, it took the Lord taking from me, to show me who is in control, who should be my main priority, and who I need to be solely living for. After filling my life with idols and living for worldly satisfaction for a great period of my life, the Lord finally said enough, and took. He took what he needed to take and reminded me that this particular thing was His. This caused me to finally search and to seek, still imperfectly, and not as much as I should have, but I tried to dedicate my life more and more to this search. I could not be more thankful for the Lord’s taking. It has taken me two months to say this, but I am thankful and have more joy now than I have in the past. Find joy in your trials, and all suffering will come to an end.
