πŸ”…They say great things take time but this only took secondsπŸ”… 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰️〰️ This happens only once every year. By once, I’m not referring to the sunset in particular, what I’m referring to is the sun setting “perfectly” right behind the Suntrust Plaza, one of Atlanta’s skyscrapers. Being fully aware that that one time in the year might be a cloudy day with no sunset or a clear day with just the sun in the background etc., I have to say I was very blessed that there was the right type of clouds and climate overall to make the whole scene even more interesting, providing my eyes to this lovely moment. These are the type of moments I live for! πŸ™„πŸ˜³πŸ˜πŸ€€ • πŸ“Stone Mountain Park; Stone Mountain, Georgia πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Some older #turkeytail - I liked the one on top that had formed a complete circle Turkey Tail can be collected when vibrant/fresh and made into teas or other forms for an alternate treatment for cancer amd other conditions for humans and animals. I didn't read anything about side-effects, so your experience may vary but buying them online is ridiculously expensive. When I find fresh turkey tail in a remote spot, I will harvest some (not all!) and freeze #mushroom #hiking #fungus #mushroommonday #mushrooms #optoutside #nature #fall #leafporn #leaves #fungi #mothernature #hiking #exploregeorgia #naturephotography #exploring #shrooms #health #naturalmedicine

They cancelled school today due to icy conditions...in some parts of the county....? So June and I went for an urban hike (4.2 Miles) through part of Jimmy Carter’s presidential library grounds and then through a series of parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, some of his only works in GA. . . . #52hikechallenge #hike15 #kellyjeannehikes #juniehikestoo #optoutside #getout #lifeouthere #hiking #hikingwithdogs #womenwhohike #peoplewhohike #alltrails #atlantatrails #hikegeorgia #hikega #exploregeorgia #explorega #theadventuresofjuniperlee #thisisdekalbcounty #60hikeswithin60miles #60hikeswithin60milesatl #cartercenter #freedompark #freedomparkway #olmstedlinearpark #olmstedpark #shadysidepark #dellwoodpark #virgileepark

This day, 2 or 3 years ago, we had just spent the last 2 nights on top of Big Cedar Mountain in 34 degree weather. On our way home we pulled off to take photos of frosty trees and this beautiful hidden gem of a lake. Today it’s Monday and we’re both at work, but it’s still the most wonderful time of the year. β˜ƒοΈ
