A lone man and his two yaks, mere specks traversing the starkly diverse terrain of Ladakh and it's winding routes as they make their way back home... Turning back the time to when the land and its local communities thrived on the legendary trans-Himalayan trade and commerce, the birth of which can be traced back to the Silk Route. In a land so treacherous, where life and survival is constantly put to test even today, the ancient times had already witnessed an occupational phenomenon. Direct descendants of the Mongols, long lines of Bactrian camels in colossal caravans carrying wide ranging goods from yak wool to Silk Road spices, from opium to precious stones of coral and turquoise... they navigated their way across high passes, fierce snow-storms and unbounded stretches of daunting dessert for centuries before the borders were sealed.
