Often people have a goal in mind but don't have a plan in place in order to achieve it. To say..."I want a six pack", but not have a plan set out in order to achieve it is a sure fire way to fail. What is your goal and what plan of action do you have in place in order to achieve it?
▶️DB ROW Typically when I lift heavy I feel like my life is falling apart, with that being said it's really hard sometimes to focus on the muscle when you're going really heavy! Try this out! You can even perform a warm up set to get some muscle activation before some of your heavy lifts!! 6 reps Hard, 6 reps easy (2 sec hold at the top for that mind muscle connection) Give it a go!! 💪🏾 To be honest I typically go into my workout with a plan of what muscles I want to work that day and then I just make stuff up as I go, rarely do I write anything down that I'm going to do LOL!! 😄 Find something you ❤️ to do that will keep you active, that's ALL that matters at the end of the day!! An all too common mistake we see with split stance landmine presses is not reaching to finish off the lift. - In the second photo you can see that @smithperformance_jamie has completed his press with a full reach. The trail leg has driven into the ground, activating the Glute in order to control hip position. Anterior core is engaged, controling the ribcage and allowing a stable base for the scapular to move on. - By reaching at the top you activate the all important serratus anterior, a muscle that is often forgotten in strength programs. The serratus provides stability and mobility of the scapular moving on the rib cage and can be a key player in a lot of shoulder pathologies. - To book your assessment PM the page or reach us through our website.
