We grow not from never making mistakes, but from making many along the way and learning from them. Lord knows, I haven’t always been perfect with my fitness journey. There are definitely aspects to getting in shape that I struggle with, and my main one in particular is the nutrition/diet aspect. As an Italian/American woman, I love me some carbs 😂🤷🏻♀️ Pasta, pizza, chicken parm...basically anything with bread, sauce, and cheese lol. And since I’ll admit right here and now that I’m no expert at all in the nutrition field, I’ve always found it difficult to find my stride when it comes to a proper diet to support all that I do. I either eat too little or (in the case of times like the holidays and parties) eat too much. But I’ve recognized this about myself, and have decided to finally do something about it. So for this next chapter of my fitness journey, I have made the decision to join #teampayne 💪🏼🏋🏻♀️🙌🏼 With the assistance of a coach to help keep me accountable in this area that is a known weakness of mine, I’m hoping to see even better results than I ever thought possible. As we speak, I’ve just finished meal prepping for my first day on this new plan. I already feel tons better knowing I will be fueling my body with the right nutrients, and not waking up tomorrow wondering if I will be tempted to buy food that isn’t good for me or in the right portions. I get a lot of questions around religion, its a touchy subject but it shouldn't be. . So I want to be open and share even though I still have reservations about the more rigid aspects of religion and my own conditioned christianity. . I have always been deeply moved by the fundamental insight that LOVE is the conquering force an not second hand information. . In 1 Corinthians 13:1-2. St. Paul writes: "If I speak in tongues of men and angels but do not have LOVE, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic power, and understand all mysteries and knowledge, and I have faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have LOVE, I am NOTHING." . Wishing you all a day full of LOVE 😇❤️🙏
Pull ups are hard. 💥 They are one of the most challenging exercises for women. Why? Because they require us to engage predominantly only our back muscles. Ever notice how chin-ups are a lot easier? Well that’s because you are able to recruit your biceps to help pull you up. Pull-up form: The beginning of the pull up is often the hardest because many people have trouble engaging their lats; instead initiating the movement with their shoulders or even traps. To avoid this, retract your shoulder blades down and back. I also try to get a good stretch with my lats at the bottom of the movement, which helps me make the mind muscle connection with my back to help drive me up. I work my back twice a week; one day focusing on back and shoulders and one day focusing on back and biceps. Why Work your back so much? Posture, strength in other lifts, pain prevention, appearance of smaller waist, and I just feel a bad $*# when I work my back! 😎 Back and biceps 💪🏻 workout coming at ya this week! (When my mom comes to visit, you guys get a workout video 😂👏🏻) Start with 3 sets of 12 reps of pull-ups! Go!
Actaully lets not 🙊 • Heres my top tips for keeping fit & well through the silly season🎅 • #1 - Do your Functional HIIT sessions (if your going on holiday make sure to keep an eye out for the bonus sessions in our private forum), make time each day for atleast 30min of movement. #2 - Stay Hydrated, make water your first choice #3 - Eat slowly to avoid over eating #4 - Get plenty of sleep. Try & avoid late nights, yes we all LOVE to party but I bet we LOVE having a fit strong body & healthy mindset more 😍 #5 - Enjoy the silly season foods but avoid over indulging. Yes balance is key, enjoy the extra food pleasures that come with the silly season but be conscious of everything that passes your lips...you may be suprised at how many of those small Cadbury favourites go into your mouth.... looks can be deceiving 🤥 #6 Remember the true meaning of Xmas. Having a mindset of giving rather than consuming and getting is just so next level sexy!! lets get next level sexy 🤗
