👆➡️👆➡️👆Swipe for 5 years of increasing queerness. A massive #throwbackthursday from 2012 to 2017 ___________________________________________ Looking at these photos initially I felt embarrassed, and then I realised that I just felt sorry for my younger self. So, this is what I’d say to 18 year old me now, age 25, in the hope my experience can help someone else: ___________________________________________ I’m sorry you had to wear clothes you hated just to feel like you fitted in. I’m sorry you let the people who used to be in your life make you feel like you weren’t attractive or valuable if you wore the clothes you actually liked. I’m sorry that people laughed at you when you eventually bought the clothes you wanted. It’ll get better. You’ll realise that it’s better to ignore the people who laugh & sneer because being yourself feels better than anything else. You’ll lose weight, gain confidence, and find your own style in time. Stick with it.
