Hat down low, headphones in, shoulder work in progress πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ _ Why do I love exercise? It’s my me time. That one hour during the day where nothing else matters except what you are doing for you. You work set by set to better your body, your mind. It teaches you discipline and gives you so much more than just an aesthetic results when you create a habit of it. As you can tell, I really do like working out or I would have gave up this year when I didn’t see my body changing in the way I wanted it to - the way that it had before. Exercise has in a way, kept me sane. It’s the one thing I have complete control over. You choose if you go or not, you choose how much effort you give and when you are finished you always know if you gave it all or if you just half assed. You are your own judge - you are your own cheerleader and you are in control over the outcome of that hour. No one and nothing else is. That’s why I love exercise πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ’•
This week’s workouts have been rough after being sick last week and recovering. Front squats did not go as planned but that’s okay. Today’s physique πŸ‘™πŸ’ͺ🏽I’ve been eating A LOT more the past several days and yet my weight has not budged lol in fact, I hit a new low the first day after being at maintenance, and since then my weight has fluctuated roughly 1 pound up (at most) which meeeaansss I’ll be adding in more food! Yay! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ - I also changed my phone case last night to this macaron one 🌈🍑🍭I love food porn phone cases what can I say 🀷🏽‍♀️ I just love foodπŸ€— p.s. Nike compression shorts are the worst for cameltoe. The. Worst. And normal side-tie bikini bottoms like these are also the worst because they never fit properly so they bunch up because they’re too baggy and then they make it look like you have cameltoe when you don’t. I want to talk about how important it is to listen to your body. I use to literally cry if I missed a workout. If I felt sick, sad, or tired and skipped the gym... oh boy I’d beat myself up all week. I promised myself with this cut that I would not be too hard on myself. I think that is so important to anyone who is losing weight. IT WILL TAKE TIME. IT IS OK TO TAKE BREAKS AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE GOAL YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE. Am I going to continue this cut? Yes! Am I letting this week off make me feel like I failed? No. Because this is a lifestyle. This is something I will be doing for the rest of my life and I am always going to be making progress as long as I work for it. The only way you’re going to fail is if you give up completely. Let yourself live life and go through whatever you need to go through. Mental health is so important. Half way through the challenge and I don’t know about you but I’m already starting to feel stronger in my core πŸ’ͺ🏻 Thank goodness today was a rest day πŸ€— Last weeks side plank damn near killed me so this weeks forearm plank can’t be that hard.... can it?πŸ€” Thats right, starting tomorrow we will be planking on the forearms.  And like each week past, we will start with a 10 second hold, progressing 10 more seconds each day, working our way up to a 60 second hold.
