I love that Habakkuk takes his complaints to God. ❤ He questions why evil is prevailing. (Or seems to be.) The Babylonians are evil & they seem to be doing as they please. But God - God has other plans in mind. Using the Babylonians to bring Judah back to Him. 👊 How often do we think that evil is prevailing? How often do we think God is turning a blind eye to the evil in the world? We need to remind ourselves that GOD is faithful & He's in control!
God's most common form of communication to His children is the Bible. The more you read and study the word of God, the more your faith will grow. The Bible is our instruction manual, our roadmap, our "google" for every situation in our life. #godsword#faithbuilder#areyoulistening
It's difficult to praise and thank in the midst of challenge and struggle.. but for what Jesus endured simply to have us in Heaven with Him, He deserves praise every moment of every day! God is always with us, even though at times we feel alone here - we are not!! He wants a relationship with each and every one of us. He wants our prayers! He wants us to cling tightly to Him, always! Thank you Lord for everything you've done and everything you're doing! #trustthelord#trustgod#trustjesus#godsword#scripture#biblestudy#prayer#praisegod#inspiredbyfaithproducts
The devil...not one of my favourite subjects, like I usually say Jesus didn't spend time focusing on the devil so I'm not going to either. The devil isn't the main issue, we are our biggest enemy, succumbing to the sinful desires of our flesh is the real problem. No matter how many prayers we pray the devil is going to continue 'walking about' looking for people to devour (1 Peter 5:8) until the time that God has set for his destruction. Like the analogy Jesus gave about the wheat and tares (Matthew 13:24-30), both will continue to grow together until the 'harvest', so I think prayers about God removing all the 'tares' in the world before the 'appointed' time is a little futile. . So what should our main focus be? "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.." (Matthew 6:9-13), Jesus said he came to do the will of the one who sent him (John 6:38) and this should be our focus, God's will. The devil will never encourage you to do God's will, never. As I mentioned before we are our greatest challenge, we want to do what we want not what God wants us to do, which is sin as sin is transgressing God's law. . How do we overcome selfish desires? Our prayers to God should be honest like Jesus's at Gethsemane (Luke 22:39-44), he wished the cup would pass over him but ultimately he desired for God's will to be accomplished. Let's be honest doing God's will can be challenging sometimes (even Israel struggled with this) but we should also understand that we need to defer to God's will and ask for his grace to do his will. This walk is spiritual first and foremost, we need God's help to do his will.
