My first visit to Cataloochee for the elk rut was an experience I will never forget. I did not intend to get this close to the largest bull elk in the park, but things got exciting when one of this bull’s cows and her calf broke off from his harem for a drink of water. He became very agitated while trying to herd them back to his field, but with he help of park rangers, we were able to remain safe while he got extremely close and I was able to capture some amazing shots. It was an amazing experience and my hat’s off to the amazing rangers who were so kind in keeping me safe and also very personable and just a wealth of interesting knowledge.
Happy Fall! It never ceases to amaze me at how fast seasons change, how fast life can change. Over the past few years I've experienced a much needed transformation within myself. It has been a journey that has brought acceptance, fulfillment, and even physical manifestations such a Wander Knot.⠀ ⠀ Just as everything I do in my life, I put meaning behind all I create with Wander Knot including this label. Early Fall 2015, I hand drew a maple leaf for a reason very dear to my heart that I've never fully explained to anyone else. Shortly after drawing, I tattooed the leaf on my wrist as a forever reminder. Ultimately symbolic of change, this art holds worth to the love I discovered within myself since Fall of 2014. The Great Smoky Mountains are home to me and important in the role of this discovery.⠀ ⠀ If you've been to the Smokies in the fall, you know the National Park is well known breathtaking autumn colors. With this candle, you can have your own takeaway from the mountains.⠀ ⠀ Soy wax, organic hemp wick, and a 50 hr burn time. The American farmed wax is a completely natural and renewable resource providing soot-free experience. The scent is made with a mix of natural essential oils and phthalate free fragrance oil blends. Enjoy Autumn Sunrise with a warm orange and clove aroma. Only $20! ⠀ Check out the shop. Free shipping on orders over $100: FREESHIP100
