Garden to table tomato galette with carmelized onions, blue cheese and thyme. Yum! After picking the Mary Robinsons German Bicolor tomato yesterday I couldn't resist using it right away. If you can't tell this tomato has beautiful color and is perfect as a slicing tomato. I topped it off with a few of the purple bumblebee tomatoes.
Plants are a great way to finesse and soften any space. 🌿Brining a little of the outdoors indoors can uplift your mood and energy, especially in this concrete jungle where green spaces are limited and not always easily accessible year around. All you need is the right size pot, proper draining, the right amount of sunlight according to the plant (placement), water, organic soil (my favorite is hand crafted soil from Fox Farm Soil & Fertilizer Co.) and last but not least show your plants some love, they truly do respond to your energy. Happy gardening everyone! 🌸🌴🌺🌿🌷🌵 Selected plants are: Rubber Plant (right) low light or partial shade to full sunlight, water twice a week. Maidenhair Fern (left) low light no direct sunlight, water thrice a week. 🌸🌴🌺🌿🌷🌵#summerishere #nyc#newyorkcity#mayuninahome#omhomestyling#mayuninallc#gardening#homedecor#homegarden#fridakahlo#greenthumb#botany#iloveplants#brooklyn#greenpoint#mayunina#ravenfeather
I wanted to share an easy 3 step process with you guys to creating your own 1. High Quality 2. Enzymatic 3. Extremely Bioavailable 4. Complex Carbohydrates. Here I used black lentils and soaked them in water. Every morning for a few days, dumonthe black water and refill it with clean water, this is the enzyme inhibitors sloughing off and preparing the seed for sprinting. Once the seed is sprouted, the literal chemical composition of the sprouts begin to change from something with little to no nutritional value, to the most bioavailable source of complex carbs on the face of the earth! These slow digesting carbs will provide your body with sustained energy for hours and increase you insulin sensitivity which is great for fighting diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease! Give disease a kick in the pants and sprout your own seeds! You can try this with radish sprouts, beans, buckwheat grout, and quinoa just to name a few! Live long, live healthy, live wisely. Have a badass Memorial Weekend everybody! 🌞💧🌱
