Happy Monday! The start of another week working towards your goals. For everyone that’s still pushing on their resolutions just remember to strive for progress and do not set your sights to far in the future. One of the biggest reasons people quit on their goals is because they get discouraged. When expect perfection or perfect results quickly, and it doesn’t happen, you stop trying. Appreciate the journey and understanding that this is going to take time, you won’t see the end goal for a while, but you will notice progress. Slow steady consistent progress will get you to the end goal. Hang in there and keep fighting, don’t get discouraged, stay disciplined and persistent. The only way you won’t reach your goal is if you stop trying. Bands make her dance (I know- I say that a lot). Absolutely love using resistance bands to make my workouts harder or progress certain exercises when they become "too easy"- but adding more weight isn't necessarily 'increasing the difficulty' without sacrificing proper form. . . . What do you do when your hotel gym is hella tiny? When there's a crowd? & it's cold outside? . Have bands? BAND(S) will make her dance. Am I right?! 😂 . No, but seriously. Instead of throwing in the towel- regardless of if you have resistance bands or not- you can still workout in your own hotel room! . I always pack resistance bands with me whenever I travel. For one- they are good to use for stretching (especially after plane rides) and they can be used anywhere and everywhere without a gym! . Tonight I did a 35 minute workout with my bands: one light (in pink) and one heavier (in black). . I did the following moves for 5 sets each anywhere from 10-20 reps. . Side lunge: 10 each side (used the lighter band and placed it right above my ankles) . . Kickbacks: 10 each side. Place the band right above your ankles. If it slips up too much, try stepping on it with your foot that's now being used to kickback. I used the light band. . Seated leg extensions: 10 per leg. Wrap the band around your thighs and do 10 reps per side. . . . Banded Glute Thrusts: 20 reps total. With the heavier band, place it around your upper thighs. Push hips up toward ceiling and squeeze. . . Banded Pulse Squats: 20 reps total. Place Heavier band around upper thighs and squat down, pulsing once, then back up to start. Mondays are usually the toughest to get amped up and the easiest to settle for excuses. Don’t give in! Monday is the benchmark for your week. The actions you make today will dictate the actions you let yourself make tomorrow.. and the next day.. If you tell yourself it’s ok to skip the workout today, then it’ll be easier to skip the workout tomorrow. Next thing you know it’s Friday and nothing was done. Treat Monday like gold and never accept anything less than your absolute best effort. No days off should be your mentality. If you fail and let excuses win then the rest of your week will be hard, but if you fight through and crush your Monday, the rest of the week will be easy. Let’s crush the week!!
