Eating, drinking and vacation. It’s cocoNUTS salMON. • It’s a long weekend and I’m in Miami with my family, and have a bunch of friends here too. Because of my sensitive stomach, for some time, vacation and social settings were less exciting. There was the underlying fear of having a painful stomach ache, acid reflux, etc. • I’ve found what foods work for me but also found ways to indulge and enjoy drinking wine. In general, I’ve found that my body needs alkaline foods like cucumbers, spinach, tumeric, chlorella, etc. When I want to drink, enjoy (oily) french fries and (acidic) cheese, I need to maintain my normal alkalinity PLUS. So ya, I eat all the greens and I bring my green drink, I bring my ground flax seeds to eat with breakfast.... and I also know that taking a Pepcid helps me get through without any acid reflux or stomach discomfort. I hate to resort to meds, but this is my body and I’ve gotten to know it, and if I only take it occasionally to enjoy moments I don’t feel so bad at all!!! I feel fabulous to be able to enjoy vacation, family, friends and celebrations. • It’s important to know your body and respect it. I think about what I put in because it affects how I feel. I respect my body and give it the nourishment it needs to feel good. Yesterday at lunch, these gorgeous displays of salmon stole my heart.

Measurements: Waist: 31in (2.75 inches lost) Hips: 40in (.5 lost) Chest: 38 (2.5 inches lost) Thighs: 22.5in (1.5 inches lost) Arms:12in (they've stayed the same - I'm turning them into muscle instead of fat!)
