This video my sister recorded for me shows me demonstrating incline pushups using the kitchen table (not ideal but it works). Pushups target your chest and triceps muscles. I would recommend this exercise to anyone who can't do pushups on the floor. Incline pushups is a regression from the standard pushup. When I am at the gym I use the smith machine for my incline pushups. As you can see in the video there wasn't much room to capture the full view. I know I can help you get in shape and lose weight. Breaking down the Top 10 Food Lies… #8: EGGS INCREASE CHOLESTEROL LEVELS. ๐Ÿ”ฝโŽโŽโŽ No they don't.  What is Cholesterol?  It’s a fatty substance that is carried around the body in the blood. Your body actually produces most of your cholesterol naturally and when it finds cholesterol coming from food sources, your body will produce less.  Cholesterol is measured in two units: LDL and HDL. LDL is bad and HDL is good.  Exercise is the easiest way to control your cholesterol levels. It raises HDL and lowers LDL  Worried about whether you should be eating eggs? Eggs are a really inexpensive way to deliver a lot of great nutrients to your body such as a good quality protein, 11 vitamins and minerals, healthy fats including omega-3 fats.  One egg has about 5 g of fat – but most of this is unsaturated, a fat that you need to be healthy.  An egg contains only about 1.5 g of saturated fat and no trans fat.  As part of a healthy balanced diet you can eat up to 6  or 7 large eggs a week without increasing your risk of heart disease.  Most people don’t need to worry about eating eggs and their cholesterol. The cholesterol in eggs has almost no effect on our blood cholesterol levels.  Your cholesterol levels are affected more by saturated and trans fat we eat which often comes with eggs in the form of bacon, hashbrowns and other fatty foods and the process we use to cook them.  I said ‘most’ people don’t have to worry about cholesterol from their food (eggs) but some do. There are some people that are hyper sensitive to cholesterol and the added dietary cholesterol can raise their LDL.  Pay attention to your body and if you believe you may be sensitive to cholesterol, see your doctor for a very simple blood test and always include exercise as part of your healthy living.
Last night on Facebook live, we made chocolate two ways and it is AWESOME!  Head over to Facebook.com/iamcarrieburrows to see how easy it was!  HERE ARE THE RECIPES:  Single Serve Chocolate Chip Cookie  Why single serve...portion control. One and done.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees  3 tbsp almond flour 1 tbsp tapioca starch or arrowroot flour 2 tsp of honey or maple syrup (I used sugar free) 3/4 tbsp of butter, coconut oil or ghee 2 tbsp of chopped dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips Pinch of salt  Mix well, form into a ball, place on your baking sheet and press down to form your cookie.  Bake 12-15 minutes depending on your oven.  You can get creative with this recipe and swap out the chocolate. You could add in  blueberries lemon / lemon zest cinnamon  Single Serve Chocolate Cake  1 egg 2 tbsp syrup(I used sugar free) or honey  1 tbsp of butter, coconut oil or ghee - melted 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup of almond flour or gluten free flour mix 2 tbsp cocoa powder  Mix the wet ingredients together. Add in the flour and then add in the cocoa powder. Stir gently!  Microwave it in your measuring cup or transfer it to a mug or small dish. Microwave for a minute, check it and you can add another 30-60 seconds. Breaking down the Top 10 Food Lies… #7: "MILK: IT DOES A BODY GOOD"  Uhm, No, no it doesn't. Unless you're a baby cow.  The dairy industry is one of the most protected industries there is by government and dairy orgs and with good reason. The dairy industry is BIG BUSINESS.  But the protection is for the industry, not for the consumer. There is absolutely no benefit to humans in drinking milk... in fact, it's just the opposite. There is way more damage from milk than there are benefits.  I vividly remember the commercials when I was growing up. "Milk it does a body good." "Milk...for a growing body." "I may be small now, but I'm drinking milk." There are dozens of products that kill milk in the nutrient department.  Have you ever seen a grown cow drinking milk from another cow? NOPE. WHY? Because cows milk is made for their young, just like every other mammals milk. Once the primary developmental stage of life has passed, so to does the benefit.  But for some reasons, humans buck that trend...and turn to another mammals milk. Just purely from a common sense point of view; doesn't that just seem weird?  I could do an entire "Food Lies" series on milk alone.  Milk builds strong bones - NOPE Drinking milk can help you lose weight - HA, Not a chance. Milk is “nature’s perfect food.” - Yes, for a baby cow Kids need milk to be healthy. - WHOA, never.  Milk is heart-healthy - LOL, no it isn't.  This just isn't my opinion...there are more studies proving the danger of milk to humans than there are studies promoting the benefits.
