On top of this, you need to be lifting in the gym on a regular basis. - If you don't have the above covered, you have no business playing with these advanced techniques. Get your bases covered. - But if you're someone who DOES weight train, eat the proper amount of Calories, and lift, then you're in for a treat. This is basically your meal timing cheat sheet - bro approved. - Everything here is pretty self-explanatory except the bottom two images. Pre-workout, to sustain your training and to kick-start your muscle recovery, you want protein, carbs, and fats. I like eating a bowl of oatmeal with protein powder and coconut oil. 40g protein. 30g carbs. 10g fat. - Before bed, carbs are your friend. They'll help you transform from an angry Wookie to a peaceful Ewok, allowing you to feel relaxed before bed, and load your muscles with glycogen for training the next day. In solitude the mind gains strength and learns to lean upon itself ✨ ============================= I've had a few conversations lately regarding dating and people seem surprised or don't understand why at this time in my life I'm choosing not to date, not to engage romantically or intimately at all with men. 😱 "why not?" "Is everything ok?" "Why?!??!? Are you talking to ***** again ?" Are just some of the baffled responses I get 😂 let me explain: ============================= I began dating someone back in the summer and it began super quickly and super intensely. My logical self was screaming at my impulsive self the entire time. Things where moving so quickly and I knew better, I knew something was off but I went with it anyway. It was sooo intense and those gushy mushy feelings were extremely addicting ! I wanted to believe I could have that ! That it was real and the pace at which we were going didn't matter. It ended quite badly almost as quickly as it began. As intense as the good times were the bad times were equally as intense. So much so that I could feel myself slipping from my own mental and emotional grip. When it was all said and done I didn't like who I had allowed myself to become. Once it was over I began seeing someone else right away ! But I knew I just wasn't into it. I needed to heal myself. Not because I was broken or damaged but I needed to find myself again. I needed to reestablish my mental and emotional wellbeing 🙇🏻‍♀️ so that's where I'm at right now. Im CHOOSING to be by myself but not for lack of offers and not because I'm JADED. I still believe in love and all of that mooshy stuff. I just know it's not my time yet. How can someone love and accept me for who I am if I'm still learning to love and accept myself ?  I'm getting there but for now I like being alone. I get to spend time with my little man, I'm spending time with friends more and im focusing on my job and ME 🙋🏻 and there's nothing wrong with that. I

So yesterday was my first trip to a Cali farmers market. They’re a dime a dozen over here and you’d spend a fortune pretty quickly.... Big emphasis on gluten free & vegan products. Great for my friend Donna who’s actually coeliac & needs to carefully follow a gluten free diet. She was able to pick up a couple things that she knew were good quality and not overly processed. Looking forward to exploring more of these markets 😎

When energy (kcals) in exceeds energy out (a kcal surplus) a positive energy balance occurs & the result is a gain in weight, 60-80% usually coming from fat (Hill et al 2012). Therefore as much as you may not WANT to hear it you can eat all the “clean” food in the world however, if at the end of the day you’re still in a surplus, you’re going to gain weight (1st law of thermodynamics). ➖

Peak W1D1: low bar skwats are weird. With the culmination of JnT2.0, I begin a three week peaking cycle for the state championships. I have to say, JnT2.0 was an incredible program and I highly recommend it to anyone trying to get stronger and more jacked at the same time. A total knee replacement it is! The diseased knee joint is replaced with artificial material. The knee is a hinge joint which provides motion at the point where the thigh meets the lower leg. The thighbone (or femur) abuts the large bone of the lower leg (tibia) at the knee joint. During a total knee replacement, the end of the femur bone is removed and replaced with a metal shell. The end of the lower leg bone (tibia) is also removed and replaced with a channeled plastic piece with a metal stem. Depending on the condition of the kneecap portion of the knee joint, a plastic "button" may also be added under the kneecap surface.
