ATTRIBUTES OF A LEADER: ….one key attribute of good leader is the ability to focus. What do I mean by this? Leadership begins with a destination or goal in mind. Along this journey there will be a lot of distractions and information thrown at us. Being able to lead people along this path, a leader will have to be able to direct their attention and efforts on things that matter. They will have to keep the big picture in mind, on a daily basis. If they are not able to do so, they can get caught up in the endless distractors and can loose their way on the path to the goal. Leaders must also be able to get stuff done. Balancing being focused on the big picture of their mission and on the task in front of them will also expand your ability influence, inspire, and direct others. Periodically I will be posting what some key attributes of a leader are in order to help you improve you ability to lead yourself and to lead others (these will also be good reminders for myself). I believe that if we can improve just a little bit, everyday, overtime we can create amazing lives. This is based on the Japanese word, Kaizen -which is a philosophy of continuous improvement. Looking to level up your ability to lead? AWESOME! Comment or send me a DM with some of the struggles you are facing. I will offer any help that I can, or point you to the right resources! We’re in this together!
#21earlydays#day4#day5#day6 . I changed my mind about posting everyday. Decided to post my journey calendar every 3 days instead. . I did not make it on day 4. Woke up at 05.40 a.m. Undisciplined. I was awoke at 4. 20, but didn't get up right away. I snoozed. Thought to snooze for 10 mins, but it turned into 1 hour. 😕 They say old habits die hard. Well, I surely did not think that I would miss gain. But I did. I was pretty discouraged. Starting to doubt myself whether I got what it takes to change: the right mind set, determination (to be a better version of me), and discipline. . I got up at 04.45 on day 5. #patonmyback for not quitting. Gotta be honest...I thought about quitting the day before, after I missed (failed) again and had some self-doubts. . It's day 6. It's Sunday, the day when I usually sleep in. I went to bed thinking "it's gonna be more challenging". Other thoughts that also popped up last night: "I wonder if they (others who have done this challenge) also count Sundays. Can we not take a break on Sunday?" "Weekdays, I see the benefits. I have time to do things that I cannot do once I go to work. But on Sunday, I don't have to go to work. I have all day to do the things that I wanna do." - But I am grateful and I was able to pay attention to my own thoughts and be aware of them. I shifted back and focus on the goal the #kaizen way. Get up early one day at a time, for 21 days straight. Doesn't matter what day, nor what for. Set up my alarm. Prayed for #helpfromgod . I was awoke at 04.28 a.m. Got up at 04.30. Even before my alarm. #thankgod#godismyhelper . HAPPY SUNDAY! 😄
