Happy #humpday #fitspo.  I have been working on transforming my #booty for a little over a year now.  Before on left, after on right.  I am currently bulking to see even more growth. But in just that time I was able to make some significant changes. How did I do it?  1.  I started eating more.  Along with timing my nutrition around my workouts. I highly suggest you research this.  Some people differ in their opinions, but for me, nutrient timing with macros worked.  2.  I started to lift heavier.  Focusing on progressive overload. In other words, keep challenging yourself.  Don't do the same amount of reps, same weight every time and expect to see growth.  Your body will adapt to this and not grow.  3.  I focused on learning proper form, making sure I contracted the glutes and felt them firing when they should.  Activating the glutes is very important.  I call it the ugly butt squeeze. (My clients at the gym have heard that way too many times!  Lol). 4.  I hit legs hard twice a week.  One of those days were squat focused and the other was deadlift focused . Both days included heavy hip thrusts, cable pull throughs, bell swings, hamstring work, and single leg work like split squats and pistol squats.  I varied the accessory work also.  But the above were staples and continue to be.  5.  I did a lot of interval sprints or banded sprints and also hill climbs. Best cardio in my opinion for glute development.  6.  Patience and consistency.  You can't expect results if you train only once in awhile.  You must stay focused and on a plan . Good luck everyone!  Happy glute growing. πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ˜˜
So here’s the dealio my tiny hoomans. I will never, ever be 100% ok with my body. That’s always going to be the way my mind is set. But! I have good days and I have really, really bad days and on the good days I take selfies. I post more often. I relish in my in-the-moment confidence, and why shouldn’t I? Having been back at gym (with a few recent set backs) I’m slowly getting back on track. I’m feeling more ok my skin lately than I have all year, and although I have a longggg way to go, I’m holding onto it. I’ve taken it by the reins and I’m running with it. We all have “fat” and “skinny” days and sometimes just showing a little (or a lot) of skin makes you feel good, sometimes wearing an oversized hoodie makes you feel good and sometimes just being curled up in a blanket makes you feel good. It’s about empowering yourself and not letting others self-destruction and dislike for their own bodies distract you from you. You are fucking fabulous regardless of what you think looks beautiful that day. It's #legday for ya boy and you know what that means. Killing it with the #asstograss squats. I'm thinking of upping the weight today and getting in there. #mealprepgame was on pointe last night!! For the next 3 days I don't need to cook or make anything- not even cut any veggies for snacks it's all done! I mean when my fridge looks as organised as it does at the moment it makes me happier than any woman probably should be about little plastic boxes with food in πŸ˜‚ Haha mainly because I know that when I'm prepared sticking on plan is so much easier and so much more enjoyable I mean now I can just look forward to my meals without worrying what they will be and how to fit my #macros for the day.
