2018:3 time is weird hope is real friendships matter (so does sleep) balance is elusive meaning is subjective love is worth the effort and tomorrow is a new day #sweeterpoetry lessons I keep learning, 38
I’m in the process of uploading a video about how to #reduceanxiety in 5 minutes. Did you know there are more teenagers/young adults suffering from anxiety than ever before? Even if you don’t “have” #anxiety you probably have moments of anxiousness, I’m pretty sure everyone does. . Anyway, today my anxiety snuck up on me and I was almost pulled into an entire day of self-pity and worry. But I was able to recognize the negative spiral as it began, I gave myself a little bit of time to be lazy and rest, and then I switched gears. It doesn’t work every time, but the more you practice, the better you’ll get 😉 . It’s been a few hours and I went to the post office, recorded and edited this video, started laundry, started dinner, and I’m currently uploading this video. I’m so grateful I didn’t just spend the entire day in bed. Learning how to manage your anxiety is such an important skill and hopefully this video will be able to help somebody else do just that. I hope you’re all having a good week. It’s almost the weekend! Any big plans?
Six hours west of where I live in the front range lies a completely different planet, or so it seems. The tall pines and flowing streams are replaced by red clay and stone monuments resembling once great statues. Moab and the surrounding area are an explorer’s dream. The snow capped La Sal mountains offer a picturesque backdrop while you explore rock arches, slot canyons, and dusty single track. This wasn’t my first trip to Moab and it certainly won’t be the last.
We were up bright and early for a day trip to Cookeville to see some friends! We had a lot of fun, and its official; these kids have lost all their former resilience for the two hour drive that we used to make regularly 😆 if anyone asks me if we're "there yet" again in the near future I'm gonna lose it 👌🏾 #azaleaandelin
Short story: In the US, arcades are places to play videogames. So when I kept passing by "arcade" signs, I was wondering "why are there so many videogames centers here??" Then I went inside one and realized what I was missing out on. Are these little shopping centers called arcades in other countries too?
