Nor is sprinting on an incline, or dynamic mode on an incline... but an @olly_truelove challenge to finish the last 4 minutes of running made up for it (and those hollow holds) 🏃🏻♀️💥💦 Beat your distance! 2 x 2 minutes, how far can you go! Help your body!! As a fitness instructor I cannot stress enough just how important protein is! Especially after a work out. You are effectively breaking your muscles down, and causing micro tears (small tears in the muscle tissue caused by intense contraction of the muscle) in the muscle. Without an adequate amount of protein our muscles wouldn't heal up as quickly and could therefore lead to overtraining your muscles which could lead to injury. Everyone chooses different things, some people go for protein in food form, some go for protein bars etc, I always go for a protein shake as solid food takes more time to digest and to break down the protein and send it to the muscles, protein shakes only take about 30 minutes to reach the muscle after consuming. I, for many years have gone with whey protein as I just find they suit me better (and they taste so much better!) A combined #mondaymotivation and #medalmonday post 🏅finished my year of running with yesterday’s Great South Run. Three medals might not seem much to most people, but they represent so much more than the miles I’ve run. They are everything that I’ve learnt while training for the races and all of the progress that I’ve made. Yeah, they’re just three medals, but I’m really proud of earning them. 🏅🏅🏅
