played behind an O-Line that mostly gameplaned as a man blocking scheme. Has an angular build that should be able to sustain the beating NFL running backs take. Speed back who has exceptional elusiveness , burst and enough “wiggle” to make high end defenders miss. Effortless change of direction without any wasted movements. Fluid hips and body control make him adept at cutbacks and turning the corner of the LOS in a sustained manner. Very intuitive runner who navigates behind the LOS with a sense of urgency. Remains patient and allows his blocks to set up. Lateral runner who stays square with the LOS. baits defenders with a lethal jump cut then plants his foot and bursts down field. Hits his top speed at a rapid pace. Visualizes cut back opportunities. Willing to take contact head on. Picks up his assignment in pass pro and sticks block with ideal mechanics for a RB. Willing as a blocker and utilizes a strong base with leverage and hand placement on the chest of the defender. valuable asset in the screen game because of his ability to take 1-3 yard passses for long gains. His go to route is a wheel or post-dig. Only played 4 games in 2017 because a nagging right ankle injury that eventually was made worse and sidelined for the entirety of the 2017 season. Does Not run with much power and relies on athletic ability to spur long gains. Hesitant when the line is gridlocked which prohibits him from creating yardage. Needs to get lower and more compact so he can blast through arm tackles. Has had some issues bringing in low throw passes. He needs to be on an offense where he is the change of pace back. I'm really impressed with what he can bring to an NFL offense but i don't see him as a bellcow. Needs to add more bulk and be more consistent as a runner that can hit hit hard in the gap. I would not be surprised if he is in the rookie of the year conversation. May have some injury issues in the future but will be a valuable asset. Ankle injury will cause a draft
Dream Syndicate. Atlanta 12/8/17. Steve Wynn, Kirk Swan, Mark Walton. Dream Syndicate sounded amazing last night in Georgia. #thedreamsyndicate#cultartist#dennisduck #markwalton. Come to Charleston, SC.
Prospects who have declared for the 2018 NFL Draft in the last two days. Mark Walton missed a portion of the season with an Ankle injury. Not sure that this is the best decision for him considering the talent level at the position. But he has the versatility that teams covet. Connor Williams is a top 5 player in the Draft. Will not play the bowl game to prevent further injury to his knee, which is no surprise. Will be a day one starter at Left Tackle. Elliott is an intriguing FS prospect. Has had a quality season and I see him as a 4th round talent. Not expected to play in the bowl game. I will be posting this at the end of each day that there is a prospect or prospects that declare. #texas#miami#nfldraft#nfl#scouting#football#connorwilliams#markwalton#deshonelliott#bigboardscouting
