Hey everyone. How are you doing? Did you get your workout in? what about your nutrition? I know life is busy and it is easy to skip taking care of ourselves, but we have to make ourselves a priority. Here is a helpful tip: SCHEDULE TIME FOR YOU. Just like we schedule a time for our families and other responsibilities, we have to schedule time for ourselves and stick to it. Set aside 30-45 minutes a day for just YOU. Comment below with one thing you did for yourself today.

It’s been real Summer. Really. It has been great. But I am just not that into you!!! 😳 . I am ready for pumpkin spice and chilly nights and boots!!! I want to wear jeans and sweaters. I want to cuddle up and eat soup and stuff! 🍃🍁🍂 . Here in Arizona it’s still too hot! I am officially putting in my request for cooler temperatures toot sweet! ☀️🌵🎃 . I’ve got outside things to do like plant flowers and ride bikes and maybe even go hiking!!! Please Mother Nature. I am begging you. 🙏🏻😘😰😎 . I want to have the fire outside on Halloween and actually wear a jacket!!! And the trick or treaters would for sure appreciate it too! 🎃 . And!!! I’ve got family portrait sessions coming up and it would be super great if my clients weren’t sweating and red and just plain miserable. 📷😎☀️ . And me too... Full disclosure: I write like I talk and I don’t speak in perfectly formatted sentences. The grammar and punctuation is pretty bad at times. I know this. . Truth be told I don’t just struggle with writing. I struggle with perfection. I struggle with comparison. I struggle with time management and get really distracted. ALOT. I struggle with taking myself WAY TO SERIOUS at times. 😊 . AND OH!!! Sometimes I actually care too much about what other people think!…. . These are just a few of the battles I fight within myself on the daily. (sometimes I get the feeling that I am a little complicated!?…) . It’s been just recently that I have realized most CREATIVE TYPES find themselves smack dab in the middle of a creative crisis at least a time or two… . We ARTSY folk seem all free spirited on the outside…on the inside we are all pretty complex. 😳 Just a thought… . So with all that being said….this is what I intend on doing about this creative block that I have been experiencing for WAY TOO LONG NOW….. . FIRST. Starting RIGHT THIS SECOND. When I write…I am going to write what I would talk and not get all caught up in the grammar and stuff like that. I am simply going to WRITE LIKE NO-ONE IS READING. How’s that?? 😄😄😄 . The next thing is I am going to SET MYSELF FREE and trust myself and my sometimes crazy ideas. I am going to FOLLOW MY CREATIVE BLISS!!! 🦋🦋🦋 . So if I want to paint I am going to paint. If I want to sew I am going to sew. If I want to write I am going to write… Like that. . I am now officially getting OUT OF MY OWN WAY…I will trust and fly and be. Me. . I have been so tired!!! Just so, so, so TIRED! .. I’ve been a little jet lagged and just plain pooped out from travel and life and stuff. .. Yes...I’ve been unpacking and doing laundry and regrouping...catching up and getting back to what I call square one. 😂😂😂 .. But I have also been giving myself time to rest and recharge! .. I’ve gone back to bed after getting the little off to school... cuddle up and watched a movie... .. I’ve said NO to a few things... erased some stuff from my TO DO LIST...and I have even had few naps!!! It’s a miracle!! 🙏🏻☀️😄 .. I’ve gotta say... I’m proud of myself!! I have always had a hard time resting and being still.. and allowing myself time to just be. .. And naps???!! I just have never been much of a napper. But let me tell you!!!...I have seen the light! ☀️☀️☀️what a difference a little bit of sleep and downtime can do!!! .. I only wish I would have learned how important it is a bit earlier in the game... but better later than never!! 😊 .. So with that ...Happy hump day everyone!!
