My yoga Teacher used to always say “Asana (yoga poses) should be easeful. If your breath starts to go choppy, that’s a sign that you’ve gone a little too far for today. Stay with the breath and your body will adapt over time”. Something I still struggle to do. The trained dancer/gymnast in me wants to push through the pain and go go go! However, i try to remind myself to be humble and work WITH my body, not against it. The body isn’t something that can change quickly so take your time. The yoga practice is a life long path so there’s no need to rush into things. 🧘🏻♀️✨

Senior Grant Manager at Fidelity International Monday - Friday. Elite trail runner on the weekend. Recently, Rachel (@hillsandchills ) had bilateral bunion correction which has put her in crutches for a few months. Do you think stopped her? Pffffft.... no way! She was back at the gym as soon as the doctor cleared her for duty and is already outperforming her peers. Love your grit and tenacity. Keep up the good work! . . . . . #determination#gymnastics#movement#bilateralbunionsurgery#cantstopwontstop#friendsofhi
