Not being able to run for 3 months has definately been a challenge and made me reflect and appreciate the beauty of movement. We all have a choice to make exercise part of our daily routine. Don't waste the opportunity it's a true gift #appreciate#keepmoving#run#movement#inyourhands
Movement is easy only when we understand language. Trainers, coaches, instructors, whatever....do you want to get people to move better? Move more? Then we need to understand the person and the person’s language through exercise. You can’t just ask someone to move. What if they don’t want to? ( you sure heck won’t get me to do something I don’t want to do and it has little or nothing to do whether I like it or not)( I sure don’t like every burn I go through in order to look the way I look but I sure love the way #health feels so I am going to do it ) so how do we figure out how to make others move? You have to understand why they don’t want to NOT why they would, then go from there. We all know that people WANT to workout to “look” good but we have to realize and understand people don’t want to workout because they have lower back pain, knee pain, they are shy, previous exercise failures, they don’t know where to start, They have lack of motivation/experience, there are many reasons and whys so we figure that first. However, all those whys may be different but they have something in common which is results and health. All those goals can be manipulated to be accomplished. We simply make them realistic, we make them tangible and obtainable, make it doable but challenging. We have to empathize with people’s goals and their reasons to want to improve their health. Set goals, set a time period of accomplishment, reinforce weaknesses and strength for an individual to visualize the progress they are making. Ones you have a plan, stay mindful with time, trust the process, have faith in your hard work. 💪🏼 Some work from my fitness #classes#teams that I instruct. It’s inspiring to see the work people put to reach their goals and get a good workout sweat 💪🏼😅😆💦 I appreciate you all for showing up 🙏🏽 #neversetle#groupinstructor#coach#personaltrainer#saturday#motivate#exercise#inspire#calisthenics
Meraki Lifestyle as a brand may be new but there’s really nothing new about who we are. You see we didn’t know it at the time but after many years of hard work and sacrifices doing what ever it took not only to make our dreams come true but to protect a lifestyle that enabled us to live with passion and purpose. To live in a way where we were able to do what we loved and in return pour our hearts and souls into everything we touched leaving a piece of us in the final product. After all of the success and failures that we all go through in life we realized that no matter what changed around us, we were always living life the Meraki way. As a brand we hope to create a new culture that celebrates you exactly how you are living Meraki. WE JUST WANT TO BE PART OF IT #livmeraki#meraki#lifestyle#livelife#journey#purpose#passion#movement#fitness#health#nutrition#wayoflife#views#nature#merakilifestyle
Loving others begins with giving them your attention, your presence, and your listening. It requires an offering of the entire self, and is a complete form of loving. It is, indeed, the first duty of love.
