Move of the day: first position hip lifts with a resistance band. . . Place a medium resistance band around your thighs just above your knees. Turn your feet out into first position (ballet) with your heels touching. Lay on your back and make sure you put tension on the band by opening your legs. Keep your legs/knees open and your heels touching for the entire move. Lift your hips and squeeze your butt. Repeat. Do for 1 minute. Rest then do it again. This week's featured move: cross-body mountain climbers⠀⠀ This heart-pumping total body move is a great one to sprinkle into any workout. ⠀⠀ HOW TO DO IT:⠀⠀ Start in a plank position. Keeping your core engaged, bring your right knee in toward your chest and across toward your left elbow. Return to starting position and repeat with your left knee (toward your right elbow). That’s one rep. Repeat as quickly as possible.⠀⠀ WHAT IT WORKS:⠀⠀ Shoulders, core, quads, hip abductors and more!⠀⠀ THE CHALLENGE:⠀⠀ Try 3 sets of 50 reps (25 per side) during your next workout. ⠀⠀ TELL ME: ⠀⠀ Love it? I did something today that I wasn’t planning to do.  I decided to take some before/after pics after finding a pic from last December on my phone in a folder titled “Inspiration.” ❤️ I took the pics because I was struggling this time last year with being the heaviest I’ve ever been.  Well it did inspire me to take some pics today and I’m happy I did. {Check out my IG story for the pic 🙈} ❤️ We often forget that it took us time to get out of shape and therefore will take time to get it back or reach our goals.  But IT CAN HAPPEN and WILL HAPPEN with consistent effort each day. ❤️ I thank you for being a part of my journey, but I do hope you’ll start yours too if needed.  And if you trust me to to help you with that, well then I’ll be super happy to be your fit family 🤗
This week jumping lunges. Yes I know my face got cut off lol. This is great for building strength and toning the lower body. 10-12 reps, 3-4 sets. Can also be done with weights or bands. MOTW:  This week’s move is a cable pull through.  This move works the hamstrings and glutes.  Make sure to keep straight legs, with only a slight bend in the knee, as well as a flat back with shoulders in set position.
