Our original dog the OG of 176 "Chief" who we rescued. Chief was approx 4 when we rescued him from a shelter. He was very badly ill and almost didn't make it but thanks to the strong work of our vet and us we were able save him. Chief led a great life weighing in around 110 pounds. He was super chill and just loved cuddling, hanging out with family and friends. His favorite was just hanging outside with us while he sunbathed or just inside the front door also taking in the rays. We were blessed to have chief in our lives for just over 10 years all of which were healthy and fun filled. Sadly Chief developed a bone in his shoulder area. After testing it was determined that given his age of approx 14 at this point it wasn't fair to put him thru surgery to remove his front leg especially since more the likely the bone cancer was already in other places. We kept Chief comfortable with meds and he lived another 6 months until we knew it was the time to have him cross the rainbow bridge. Chief touched many hearts over the years even converting a couple anti dog friends and family into mushy dog lovers. He is beyond missed and is memorized with a large Blue Atlas Cedar tree in the back yard next to his favorite spot. Chief did have the pleasure of living with Bowie and Misty for about a year of so and with out a doubt instilled some values into them before his passing. Chief may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
