DIGESTION. Let's talk digestion for a quick minute. I get asked all the time what to do or what to eat when you're on the run. My go-to...a protein shake. I personally use protein in my shakes because if helps satiate me. More importantly I have a shake (as a busy entrepreneur) because I sometimes don't have time to eat a full meal and be in rest and digest mode. I see way too many people engulfing their food, not even taking a moment to breathe. Then they have gas, indigestion and constipation - you know, the 3 things we seldom talk about but are MAJOR concerns. When we don't digest food properly it creates a whole host of concerns. What you can't digest on the outside world is a direct reflection of what you can't digest internally. #foodforthought

A couple months ago, I thought it'd be impossible to workout 6 days a week and give it 100% while working full time as an RN for my integrated practicum. I thought there'd be no way I'd have any energy left after working 12 to hours to spend another 2 hours at the gym, eat, meal prep, sleep and do it all over again. But when you love something so much it's easy to find the energy and the time to do what you love. I'm working my butt off at placement and loving every minute of it. I have so much energy in the gym and I'm determined to bring a killer physique to the national stage.
