Need a last minute Thanksgiving recipe? These bacon bourbon sweet potatoes from @publix are super easy and can be whipped up in 20 minutes! You'll need: 5 slices thick bacon, coarsely chopped 20 fresh sage leaves 2 (24-oz) packages refrigerated mashed sweet potatoes 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 tablespoons bourbon (optional) Instructions: Preheat large sauté pan on medium 1–2 minutes; chop bacon. Place bacon in pan; cook 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until bacon is crispy. Remove with slotted spoon, leaving bacon drippings in pan. Reduce heat to medium-low. Place sage leaves in bacon fat; cook 1–2 minutes or until crispy. Remove with slotted spoon. Heat potatoes following package instructions. Place butter and brown sugar in small saucepan on medium; cook 2–3 minutes or until mixture is simmering. Transfer potatoes to large bowl; stir in butter mixture and bourbon until well blended.
