Today the whole school got together to participate in team problem solving, by working to design the most aerodynamic paper airplane. Creative problem solving is an important component to the overall Aseltine School experience, because it serves as an opportunity for our students to persevere through adversity in a controlled environment. The lessons and strategies that they learn through this activity carryover to help them in their own lives in tremendous ways, and it assists them in their journeys to becoming helpful members of their communities. #aseltineschool
True innovation REQUIRES diversity of thought. @hiddengeniuspro trains and mentors black male youth in technology creation, and entrepreneurship. I’ve had the pleasure to work with this organization and they’re the real deal
"Because I finally realize that it actually doesn't make me any less black, compassionate, or womanly to say, 'You know, brother man, I like you, but you simply cannot cut it.'" Our #storyoftheweek comes from the incomparable author and journalist @joanmorgan who shared her story about setting standards for herself at our first ever TMI Project performance! (Link in bio.)

For those that don’t know, Ground 40 has expanded to New England, Maine and we wanted to give you a little update! This is just a quick snapshot of what the nights have been looking like! Ground 40 New England leader Matt McNutt, and his wife, have been holding Stand Solid Gatherings at New Beginnings Christian Church for a few months now, and their turnouts have been amazing! As of last night, they have been averaging over 35 people each week! It’s been a blessing to see it expand, and grow a steady audience of men and women who are seeking to better their lives! They have been going through the same study we have been going through, Freeway: A Not-So-Perfect Guide to Freedom, and on Janurary 29th they will be holding a Second Chance Celebration! The night will be a graduation for all those who have completed the study, as well as a celebration of life for regular attendees each week. We are beyond grateful for Matt McNutt’s leadership, and cannot wait to share more of the stories that are coming out of Ground 40 New England soon!
Diaper Need doesn't just affect babies, it affects parents too. Not being able to provide your child with basic necessities like diapers is so hard for parents who just want to give their children the world. Join us in making sure underprivileged babies and their parents have smiles on their faces this year! #mdbcares
