Well. I got through squats today. Not quite how I'd hoped it would've went but will chalk it up and move on. Squats felt good up till the last sets. Too many technical issues for my liking but still have time to clean it up. 620lbs x 1, 675lbs x 1, 730lbs x 1, 730lbs x 1. You can say grinding was an understatement here. I'm just glad I can finish this weight and fight through when things don't go as planned. Moving forward. When your coach kicks ass, he starts your #benchpress session with "Tonight, you're going to hit a #pr." and delivers. I learn SO MUCH when I train with @joesullivanpowerlifter. Having him poke, prod, and cue me REALLY helps me remember elements of an efficient lift. I'm feeling so much better about breaking through 265 after pressing 135x8, 175x6, 195x4, 205x3, 215x3, 225x3, and 235x3 FOR THREE SETS (last one shown) for a solid volume personal best. Now, I just have to work on pressing 265 like I pressed 235, right @thedanieltinajero?
