I started today’s #treerunning session no way near completing these strides successfully. The last precision to a slippy Rhododendron at a tricky angle took a bit of convincing. But with a bit of mindful persistence and breaking it into manageable chunks of small successes I managed to do it (will probably show more of the process and attempts in this week’s Vlog). — I started Parkour in my 30s and I would argue that I’ve not been as consistent with my practice as I could have been with a busy life. But I’m also far from talented and I have to really work mentally to convince this ageing body to do what I think it can do in my head. 😆 I think I know how to get this old dog to challenge and surrender when necessary to the many dragons one can face... and at 37 I even conquer a few sometimes, the rewards are worth it whether I succeed or fail as the reward is in the process. — If you’re interested in sharing this process as someone who has started “late” with your physical practice (not calling you an old dog... just started late relative to the kids 😂) get in touch or check out where I’m teaching on my events page in my bio.
