Her hat gives away that this picture was taken more recently, but her thin, plucked eyebrows and striped dress could have been part of late 1930s to early 1940s fashion. Rather than being a one way road, fashion is a cycle. During the 1970s, this picture was taken in 1972, fashion looked back at the elegant, shoulder-padded dresses of the 1940s, which in the '70s were combined with beige block heels and long, wavy hair.
