Our family joins the Chinese New Year celebration by eating foods that come from south east Asia. As some of you know, I am currently doing a fellowship in integrative medicine and I have been exposed to traditional east Asian medicine and all the modalities we can use to restore health. Yo. Are you dairy free but need some sour cream in your life? Because I did. I also needed tacos. Both problems have been solved. ๐ŸŒฎ  I ate a TON of fast food as a kid, but I was so picky that any vegetables besides pickles as condiments were out of the question. I was a cheese & sour cream only on my tacos kind of girl. I remember once that the Taco Bell people gave me literally only cheese & sour cream in a taco shell. ๐Ÿ˜‚  Anyway, fast forward a bajillion years [or a decade or so, makes no matter] & I'm a real-foods educator who realizes I can still have tacos made of better ingredients, & yet what's the point of a damn taco without the cheese & sour cream?! ๐ŸŒฎ  Enter this @GTsKombucha Cocoyo that I originally bought because I thought it'd be like @co_yo_usa. Imagine my surprise when I put a spoonful in my mouth & discovered that'd I'd found the Holy Grail of Paleo sour cream [good gut bugs included]. ๐ŸŒฎ  Here's how I made the tacos of my dreams: Start with @thepaleomom 's cassava tortillas [they're #aip, yo!], then cook some taco beef. I used sea salt, white pepper, turmeric, garlic & onion powders, cumin, & a splash of bone broth. Add some avo, sliced purple cabbage, & Cocoyo & you've got amazingness. The best part is I have enough ingredients left for dinner. #winning ๐ŸŒฎ  PS. I really love starting my day with a smoothie. Effortless nutrient delivery via the gut and easy to digest. I don't prefer bigger breakfasts all the time but do always include protein. I have changed back to my pea protein which has an excellent amino acid profile and easy on the tummy too. I opted for an all green one again. Really energizes me. . . . Glorious citrus!  And a 7 day re-boot. . Pain levels have been mounting lately (yes, my bloodwork looks glorious but I must walk the line to keep chronic pain at bay). Travels and choices and bountiful blessings of celebrations and business have come together...and now it's time to re-set. . For 7 days, a focused set of things I do and things I don't do.  Not forever.  Just for today.  And then for the next. . A few of those tools are 100oz water,  self massage with my essential oil blends, Reiki, dry brushing, juice feasting, infrared sauna, Yin yoga, up and out to a studio class (even though I prefer at home), magnesium foot soaks (how I dream of a bathtub! but foot soaks are POWERFUL), making/drawing/writing, rebounding...more.  Not all at once and not every day.  A few a day I have access to, space and energy for.  And I put it on my calendar. . Today I'm feasting on citrus juice and Green Goddess by the quart (see my Stories for Green Goddess tips). . 3 pink grapefruit 2 navel oranges 2 cara cara oranges (just because I have them) 3 mandarins 3 lemons 3 drops grapefruit essential oil (powerful compone.ts are in the peel and pith which the oil is made from) Juice in my favorite Juiceman citrus juicer.  Enjoy! . PS Please don't wait until ___ to choose to be happy.  Health is not the most important thing and being truly happy is (IS) under your control. It's all about mindset. Practicing tapping into joy is the hardest thing I've ever done.  And I've done many hard things.  Change your mind.  Then you'll change your health.  Your whole life.  Namaste, sweet friend
