Until I lived in Georgia I had no idea what pomegranate tasted or looked like, but I had at least heard the name before. They were one of the most abundant fruits for sale across Georgia, and though it was a lot of work (and mess!), they made for some very cheap and healthy juice. I never had a freezer during my time in Georgia, but now I'm back in the UK I often freeze the seeds and eat them as treats. They remind me of those long, hot summers in Georgia and on Christmas day I enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and pomegranate juice in memory of my Georgian life!
