I’d like to introduce my bullet journal’s new home! A beautiful hand-stitched leather cover I purchased from @dmleatherstudio! 📖 • • • I’ve been searching for a nice cover for my journal for some time now (even before starting this new one), but just haven’t come across one I found worth purchasing. I was browsing on Etsy one day and this one caught my eye instantly. What drew me to this cover is its minimalist design, detailed hand-stitching, ability to fit my A5 Leuchtturm1917, and a cutout for the Leuchtturm’s elastic band. Believe it or not, finding a leather cover to fit a Leuchtturm specifically is actually pretty difficult. The price was also extremely reasonable compared to others I’ve seen, and it shipped with beautiful well thought out packaging! I’m looking forward to seeing this beauty patina over the years! 😊
Few days ago I was looking for a way to increase productivity and I started to move apps on my homescreen around and voilà! The “desktop zero” was the result. Whatsapp and other work / music / health related apps are in page 2. Finally, following an advice from a friend who happened to get his desktop zero as well in the same days, all the social apps are in page 3. Page 3 is FAR. Also, and most importantly, I removed for the first time all the notifications, keeping only calls on and the badge numbers for the most “urgent” ones (WhatsApp / Twitter / other work-related apps). In just few days I noticed right away how much less I check Facebook & Instagram. Now I have to WANT to go to the social apps, it’s not just mindless tapping the first apps you see. Most importantly, seeing this empty page every time I unlock the phone it reminds me what I should be doing and there’s very often something I should be doing first. If you didn’t know: 2018 is the year of change for me. The previous years were dedicated to accumulate relevant theories and talk a lot about change in @thedoubleespressoshow: this year is the year where hopefully everything falls into place. So much can happen in one year, and we are already 1 month down. Clock is ticking. #desktopzero#homepage#iphone#productivitytip#lpt#lifehack#podcasterlife#writer#writingabook#productivity#experiencedesign
For some, 'a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind.' On the other hand, others believe that a cluttered desk is a sign of genius' and 'a messy desk is only a sign of a messy desk.' Which one works for you?
