I *should* be in bed. Instead, I just keep staring at this giant gap at bottom of our door and feeling irrationally mad about it. The bloke who cut our doors to fit (ahem) did so before we had carpet and he had samples of it, so it should have been snug. Not sure why he took an additional 2 sloping inches off. Did he use crayola scissors instead of a saw? We’ll never know. Going to ask our brilliant Other Carpenter (who made our wardrobes) if he can somehow fix something to the draughty bottom. Which by the way, would totally be my band name if I could sing or play an instrument.
this wood was installed in 1850 - at least 7 generations ago - before cars, lightbulbs & indoor plumbing! ... 🔨🔧 This empty back area was the original kitchen, it is being renovated into the family room to overlook my rear yard ... #kitchenrenovation
