My grandfathers, together for one of the only times at my parents wedding in 1983. Remember the ancestors. We carry their stories in our cells. Everything they fought for, All the patterns they learned and relearned And all the promises they made and broke, All the dreams they proudly lived And the ones they never got to see, They passed to their children And their children on to us. We are the carriers of their light And the healers of their darkness. The alchemists. I was born a year after this picture. Arthur (right) my American (German) Grandpa, died when I was five, my English Grandad Reginald (left) when I was 15. Hard to believe they knew each other for just hours in their lifetimes and yet they are both alive in my blood. #ancestors
#inawe #😮 "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in #awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed." - Albert Einstein
“#Spring passes and one remembers one's #innocence. #summer passes and one remembers one's #exuberance. #autumn passes and one remembers one's #reverence. #winter passes and one remembers one's #perseverance.” ―Yoko Ono
I was a bad fan and missed this track with @catpowerofficial turning 10 years old on the 9th. The Rollo & Sister Bliss Slow Radio Edit was perfectly suited for this time of year despite not being festive.
I can personally vouch for👆in much the same way that #reverence is broader than #respect: within reverence you find respect but respect does not necessarily warrant reverence as reverence can not be forced..reverence is respect from the heart and I’ve yet to meet someone who can lie to their own heart.
