That gorgeous, rich blue comes from the leaves of the indigo plant. This plant is indigofera suffruticosa which is what was grown in South Carolina in the 1700s and throughout the Caribbean. This species is what has been used by Native people of central and South America for centuries and probably thousands of years. Mini history lesson finished. This necklace is available in my shop through the link in my profile. Cheers and let's all get ready for this crazy eclipse weekend.
