I've always thought that anything learned through distress isn't worth learning at all. And that has been my guiding principle throughout Squeak's life, to give me confidence in the face of regular night wakings and toddler tantrums. After two wonderful days at playgroup when he skipped in and happily waved me goodbye, he caught a cold, missed a week, and now doesn't want to let me go. Luckily it's a lovely group and I'm allowed to stay as long as I want, and of course I don't have any other pressing commitments, at least for now. I'm hoping he finds his confidence soon 🤞🏼
"Her hair was copper-red, like the grass of the shore on which the spring floods leave their rust; her eyes were dark, like the pools among the marshes, drawing the beholder down in their depths" - Aino Kallas
Motherhood | one season you try to convince your kid to wear a warm jacket. Next year, he likes the same jacket so much that you struggle to convince him to take it off when he enters the house 🤦🏻♀️ Good morning to you all!
